Sending a resin portrait as a gift

Most of ours leave as presents. Give their address at checkout and the parcel heads to them directly, wrapped in crinkle paper, with tracking all the way. Give it around five weeks for a panel or a wood slice and about three for an ornament, and for Christmas order panels and slices by 15 November and ornaments by 28 November.

When do I need to order a gift?

About five weeks ahead for a panel or a wood slice, and about three for an ornament. For Christmas the dates are fixed: panels and wood slices by 15 November, ornaments by 28 November.

For a birthday or an anniversary the same arithmetic applies: count back from the day. Your order's own estimate appears ahead of payment, and the lead-time guide explains where the weeks go.

Can it be sent straight to them?

Yes. Put their address at checkout and the box goes to them, not to you. It is boxed in crinkle paper and tracked end to end, so you can watch it arrive from your own order page.

Most of what we make is given: buyers have sent a glitter panel of the family dog for an anniversary, a wood slice of a couple and their golden for a husband, an ornament of two friends in a convertible for a grandmother's tree, and a silhouette ornament for Valentine's. The reviews on the reviews page are mostly those stories.

What can I write on it?

A name, or a short line of text, up to 20 characters. It is optional, and it is set on the create page in the name field before the design is drawn, so you see it in the drawing before you approve.

  • A pet's name: Bruno, Luna, Bailey.
  • A date, or a year, if the piece marks one.
  • Two names, for a couple or a pair of friends.
  • Nothing at all: many of the panels carry no text, and the ornament has a name on it only if you want one.

If you want a scene rather than words, there is a line for an AI touch on the create page: a beach behind him, gold leaf in the corners. That changes the design; the name changes only the lettering.

How is it packed?

In a box of crinkle paper, the piece nestled in it, with the ornament's chain and the wood slice's easel in the same box. The box is tracked end to end from the day it leaves the studio.

The checkout page adds shipping, plus any duties for the country, to your own order. If the box is going somewhere other than your own address, say so at checkout rather than in a message to us, so that the label is right from the start.

What if I want to keep it a surprise?

Use a photograph you already have. The best photographs for a portrait are the ordinary ones: a quick phone picture of the dog in the living room, a single pet or person looking more or less at the lens, with the eyes in view. Nobody has to pose.

Remember that the design is drawn for you to approve in about a minute, free, before any order exists, so you can try a photograph quietly and decide later. The photo guide says what to look for in one.

Questions this leaves

Can I include a message in the box?

The piece itself carries up to 20 characters, set on the create page. For anything longer, write to us after you order and we will tell you plainly what we can do; the box goes out from our bench, so a person packs it.

Will the price show on the parcel?

The order and the payment are handled through Tedooo at checkout, and the box leaves our studio in crinkle paper. If you are worried about paperwork on an international parcel, write to us before it ships and we will say what the label has to carry.

Which piece makes the best present?

The ornament is the quickest and the smallest, at 10 cm and $59.99, and it is the one that goes on the tree every year. A panel is the one that goes on the wall. The wood slice stands on a desk or a mantel, on its easel, and is the one with the wood itself in it.
