The two panels differ only in the ground under the portrait. The glitter panel is glitter and gold leaf in marbled resin, from $149; the pearlescent panel is a mother-of-pearl shimmer or an iridescent opal shift, from $129. Both come 30 × 30 or 50 × 50 cm, under the same clear flood, and hang on one screw.

What is the difference between the two panels?
The ground, and nothing else that matters: the size, the clear flood, the polish, the single screw and the care are the same for both.

What does the glitter panel look like?
Marbled resin, teal and navy, grey, or midnight blue, flecked and veined with gold leaf, with the portrait over it. The gold sits under the portrait, in the depth of the panel, so it catches the light through the gloss rather than on it.
It is the louder of the two and the one that buyers describe as sparkly when the light hits it. In an entryway or above a sideboard with a lamp beside it, the gold moves as you walk past. The rottweiler on the sand and the dachshund on grey marble on this site are both glitter panels.
What does the pearl panel look like?
A softer shimmer. The pearlescent panel comes on one of two grounds you choose on the create page: Pearl, a mother-of-pearl sheen, or Iridescent, an opal shift that runs blue and violet as the light moves.
The portrait sits over the shimmer in the same fine layers of tinted resin. The white Maltese with the blue bow and the French bulldog on teal mother-of-pearl are pearl panels; the long-haired white cat on opal is the Iridescent ground. It is the quieter choice, and the one that suits a pale room.
Which one suits which portrait?
A dark coat reads strongly on either; a pale coat reads best where the ground gives it contrast. Beyond that, it is the room and your taste.
- A black, tan or brindle dog: both work; the glitter panel makes the most of a dark coat against gold.
- A white or cream cat or dog: the pearl panel keeps the softness; the glitter panel on a dark marble gives it an edge.
- A couple or a family: either, at 50 cm, so the faces have room.
- A piece in memory: either; the pearl ground is the gentler of the two.
If you are not sure, draw it both ways. The design is free until you approve one, and the two panels start from the same the create page.
Is one cheaper or quicker?
The pearl panel starts lower, from $129 against the glitter panel's $149, for the 30 cm size. The lead time is the same for both: 32–36 days door to door, about five weeks.
The price of the size you choose is shown live on the create page before you approve, and your card is untouched until Tedooo's checkout. Whichever you choose, the care is the same: a soft dry cloth, no glass cleaner, and a wall out of hours of strong direct sun. The ingredients of each ground are listed on the materials page.
Questions this leaves
Can I have gold leaf on the pearl panel?
The pearl panel's ground is the pearl or the opal, and the glitter panel's is glitter and gold leaf; the two are not mixed. If you want gold in a design, say so in the AI touch line on the glitter panel and see what comes back.
Can I pick the colour of the glitter ground?
The glitter panel has no tone row: its background is drawn from your photograph and your words. Describe it in the AI touch line, teal and navy, grey marble, and the drawing comes back that way for you to approve.
Are the panels the same thickness and weight?
We do not publish a thickness or a weight for either panel, so ask us before you order if it matters for your wall. Both hang on a single screw, and both come 30 × 30 or 50 × 50 cm.
